Injured Wildlife
Should you find an injured or abandoned creature, firstly do not disturb unless it needs to be moved to a place of safety, i.e. off a road or it is obviously seriously injured. Initially leave well alone, young animals are often left while a parent goes to feed. Return later to see if it is still there or watch from a long distance. In most cases the parent will return to the young provided you have not touched it and left behind human scent.
If you do need assistance contact Brodick Country Park Rangers, 01770 302 462 for advice.
If they are not available call Hessilhead Wildlife Centre, 01505 502 415.
If you think a wildlife crime has been committed inform the local wildlife crime officer on Police 101.
