Wander along the shore at Kildonan with NTS for a chance to get close to seals and discover the myriad of creatures that live on the shore.  Some binoculars available for use during the walk.

Not Suitable for pushchairs.

Otter Walk
Find out about Arran's elusive and fascinating Otters and learn how to spot these exciting predators! 

Places are limited and booking essential.  The meeting place is to be confirmed, booked parties will be contacted prior to the event to advise them where the walk will take place.

North Newton Shore Geology, Lochranza
Visit the ancient Highland rocks in the north of Arran, the site of James Hutton’s unconformity near Lochranza, More Geology.

Before Dinosaurs Walked in Sliddery
Walk in the footprints of animals that were around before the dinosaurs.  Arran is the only place in Scotland where these rare footprints can be seen.  Take advantage of this unique opportunity to find out about these 240 million year old giant lizards.

Before Dinosaurs Walked in Blackwaterfoot
This walk will take you to see the footprints made by the "hand-beast of Blackwaterfoot" in sands that are over 240 million years old. Just north of the cliffs of Drumadoon, over 50 of these footprints were found in the last 10 years. Now more have been found, numbering in their hundreds, along the south coast of Arran. Meet at the Golf Club tearoom for a short talk beforehand.

Kilpatrick Stroll
Join Arran's bird recorder for a leisurely evening walk in his local patch in Kilpatrick.  The walk will cover both the shoreline and  farmland.   More Bird Events
