Ailsa Craig RIB Trip : 3 1/2 hours

Ailsa Craig (Fairy Island) also known as Paddy's milestone, is an 1100 ft volcanic granite plug 10 miles off the coast of Girvin. It is visible most days from the south of the Island. It is famous for its lighthouse, its curling stones and more recently becoming a RSPB sanctuary.

Ailsa Craig is a truly  an awesome place to visit appearing through the mist on your approach then dramatically towering over you like a giant sentinel to the southern approaches of the Clyde.

It is now home to 70,000 nesting gannets and  a few hundred puffins. It is a must for the ornithologist. A typical trip would circle the Island which gives the best view of the colonies on the South and West of the Island.

Due to the exposed nature of Ailsa Craig trips are highly weather dependant.
