Arran's Insects

There is a wide range of insects on Arran including the midge! On this page there is a lot of moth photos, hold your mouse over to find the names.

If you have been on the hills check yourself for sheep ticks. If you get any don't pull them out, instead wriggle them around anti-clockwise and they unscrew! You can get a tick extractor from the chemist or other local shops.
